Chalet Gourmet: The Chalet

GourmetSki is set in a 100+ year old Savoyarde farmhouse, oozing with charm - whilst being at the cutting edge of construction and technology. Set over 3 floors and offering 400 m2 of living accommodation, space and privacy (if desired) are guaranteed.

Converted in 2007, we specified the highest standard of craftsmanship. Original features such as exposed beams and stone walls have been restored to their former glory and we have installed a highly efficient eco heating system, high levels of insulation (for coziness and sound-proofing throughout the chalet), audio-visuals, quality fixtures and antique furnishings throughout - creating a real gem in the Alps.

We provide quality iPod/MP3 docking stations and free wireless internet.

The double height living room centres round the woodburner, with areas split for quiet reading, watching television or entertaining. Stairs lead down to the dining room and cosy bar snug room. The bar offers complimentary fresh ground coffee (Cappucino's, Latte's, Espresso's etc), a selection of teas, soft drinks and juices. In addition there is an honesty bar for premium brand alcoholic beverages.

The chalet has won praise from leaders in design and green architecture in addition to being awarded 'eco retreat of the month' in Highlife magazine.

Located in Montriond, a pretty village bordering Morzine in the Portes du Soleil ski region (650km of skiing in14 linked resorts in France and Switzerland) with direct ski-lift access to the high Avoriaz circuit and walking distance to bars and shops. Set on the valley floor, each room looks out onto different mountains, with the bedrooms being named after the principle views enjoyed.
