We highly recommend that you book your ski schools in advance of your stay particularly for those of you staying over the half terms/Christmas/New Year and Easter holidays. We are happy to help booking lessons.
Most ski schools require payments in advance on credit card and some allow us to collect payment in the chalet on arrival. It depends on who you choose. With this in mind you may need to call the ski schools with your credit card details.

When choosing ski schools for children, you need to consider that if your children have never skied before and are young (4-6) then they may only be up for a morning or afternoon lesson, with the remainder of the time put over to play on the nursery slopes or have a nanny/childcare option look after them. A ski school we would recommend for this age group is the ESF as they offer a club called Piou Piou which acts like a crèche in that your children can have a mornings lessons then be fed or not and then be cared for in a crèche facility. They offer packages where the ski pass is included in the cost of the lessons package which is excellent value for money. Bear in mind that should you choose this then the rest of the adults may wish to stay skiing on the Morzine/Les Gets pistes thus just using the cheaper pass. The other areas Avoriaz, Montriond and the rest of the Portes du Soleil is accessed from the Super-Morzine bubble lift or Prodains cable car which are mini train and bus linked to Pleney
*Please note this ski school is in the middle of Avoriaz and is a 10 minute walk from the top of the Prodains cable car for total beginner’s skiers. Those who can manage a snowplough can get a chair lift and then it’s a 2 minute green run!
